Celebrating Pride Month!

June Seasonals

June 1, 2021

This year the Molly Moon's Pride Committee worked with our whole culinary team to create flavors in honor of Pride and to raise money for The Lavender Rights Project!

10% of Proceeds from all seasonal flavors this month are going to benefit lavender rights project. Lavender Rights Project is a non-profit organization advancing a more just and equitable society by providing low-cost civil legal services and community programming centered in values of social justice for Trans, Nonbinary, Two Spirit, Queer, and Black Communities.

For our Lemon Lavender Rights flavor - our wonderfully aromatic lavender is grown just across the sound in Sequim and freshly ground just before stirring into our ice cream to capture it’s complete essence. An all yolk (read extra rich), buttery lemon curd is swirled into each tub balancing the heady floral notes of the lavender with bright citrus.

Our Capitol Hill Crunch was named in honor of our Capitol Hill neighborhood, which has been a local home base for the Gay Liberation movement in Seattle - and has become home to many LGBTQ organizations including Lambert House, Gender Justice League, Gay City, Ingersoll Gender Center and more. Cal Anderson Park - right across from our Capitol Hill shop was named for Cal Anderson - Washington's first openly gay legislator. For years Seattle's Pride Parade took place on Capitol Hill, before moving downtown - but all of the major Pride celebrations still happen in the neighborhood! Capitol Hill Crunch is flavored with crushed pretzels and salt, then swirled with caramel and clusters of malted pretzels covered in chocolate hard shell.

Pride Parade Vanilla was inspired by Seattle’s annual Pride Parade through downtown, this flavor is colorful fun for all! Our beloved vanilla (made with organic vanilla extract) flavor is jazzed up with a fresh coat of natural pink color and rainbow sprinkles!

Pink Lemonade Sorbet - we're bringing back this Summer favorite for everyone who wants a light refreshing treat! It's made with lots of organic lemon juice and organic raspberries, creating a bite that truly tastes like berry lemonade in sorbet form!
