from kitchen to cone, every scoop is the result of hard working, happy staff, strong local partnerships, sustainable practices, and of course, the finest ingredients we can source.

In and around every one of our ice cream shops is the most incredible community of people: employees, families, farmers, neighborhood businesses, teachers, Scouts, artists, activists and humanitarians. We are so proud to be part of this community and will never stop working to help it thrive.

For us, community starts with our scoop shops – located in Wallingford, Capitol Hill, Madrona, Queen Anne, U Village, Redmond, Columbia City, Bellevue and Edmonds. Molly started the company to create a multi-generational community gathering place, and that’s still our number one goal every time a new shop opens.

Across Seattle’s diverse neighborhoods, we support the community by donating ice cream and funds to fight hunger, to support women and girl empowerment and to organizations doing race equity work. Our nonprofit, the Anna Banana Milk Fund provides fresh milk and other dairy products to 6 food banks, one in each of our shop neighborhoods. We also strive to make business decisions that benefit the community. Every year, we purchase thousands of boxes of Thin Mint cookies directly from the Girl Scouts of the Mary's Place troop to make our 'scout' mint ice cream. We purchase enough boxes of thin mints from this troop to send every girl to Summer camp, along with all of the essentials a Scout needs for a week at camp!

And then there’s the larger community - we strive to be environmentally responsible by using only 100% compostable packaging and sourcing all of our ingredients locally, or from sustainable, organic sources. We choose to work with local farmers not just because it’s better for the environment, but also because it keeps dollars in our own backyard and is better for the community overall.

BY THE NUMBERS

  • Over the course of a year, we'll use 225,720 Girl Scout Thin Mints in our 'scout' mint flavor, all purchased from the Mary's Place Girl Scouts.
  • We compost 25,313 cubic feet of paper goods annually, cutting down on waste that goes to landfills.
  • We are proud to support public education by donating hundreds of goodies – gift cards, tee shirts ice cream, hot fudge and sprinkles – directly to Seattle schools.
  • Many of our mooncrew donate to our Anna Banana Milk Fund from each paycheck and we match every dollar. Last year mooncrew donated over $14,000 in total!
  • Through our mooncrew volunteer program and our annual day of service, our mooncrew donated 225 hours of service to our community.
