CHOCOLATE TOFFEE COOKIE DOUGH
by Pramila Jayapal, Congresswoman of Washington’s 7th District
Benefiting OneAmerica

About the flavor: When the Congresswoman told us about her love of Heath Bars folded into ice cream, we knew that her flavor had to include our homemade Theo Chocolate covered toffee. For this ice cream, we take the toffee and break it into chunks and then incorporate it into a classic cookie dough. The toffee studded cookie dough is then stirred into a rich milk chocolate ice cream. This delectable flavor will be available at all Molly Moon’s scoop shops as well as both Hello Robin locations.

About Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal and OneAmerica: The congresswoman represents Washington’s 7th Congressional District which encompasses most of Seattle and its surrounding areas. She is the first South Asian American woman ever elected to the US House of Representatives, one of just two dozen naturalized citizens currently in Congress, and one of only 87 women of color to ever serve there. Not only does she serve on the House Judiciary, Education & Labor, and Budget Committees, but she also founded OneAmerica 20 years ago, just after September 11th, to address the backlash, hate crimes, and discrimination we were seeing against immigrant communities of color. The organization continues to grow and expand its reach through grassroots community organizing within immigrant and refugee communities of color to advocate for human rights and reform unjust immigration policies.

SNICKERDOODLE
by Breanna Stewart, Seattle Storm
Benefiting Vera House

About the flavor: We asked Stewie what her absolute favorite cookie was and when she told us that her grandmother’s snickerdoodles hold a special place in her heart, we knew we had to make an ice cream that lived up to her sweet memories. This flavor starts with a tangy buttermilk ice cream that’s spiced with cinnamon and then studded with freshly baked chewy snickerdoodle cookies coated in Red Ape cinnamon and sugar. It’s so good, not only are we serving it at all Molly Moon’s scoop shops, but Hello Robin will be serving it at both of their cookie shops as well!

About Breanna Stewart and Vera House: “Stewie”, as she’s affectionately called, is a 4-time NCAA Champion and 4-time Most Outstanding Player of the NCAA Tournament- the first athlete of any gender to accomplish this incredible feat. Just as impressive off the court, Stewie fought adversity and successfully rehabbed from a season-ending achilles injury in 2019. During that time she fell in love with her wife Marta, and are now moms to Ruby Mae Stewart Xargay through gestational surrogacy. A beautiful story that highlights that it’s possible to be the best player in the world and have a baby. When she is not devoting her time to being a champion athlete for the Seattle Storm and a loving mother, Breanna actively uses her platform to impact change. A survivor herself, Breanna is utilizing the profits of her flavor to support Vera House, a non-profit dedicated to ending domestic violence, sexual assault, and all other forms of abuse.

MAPLE BUTTER COOKIE
by Colleen Echohawk, Eighth Generation
Benefiting Youth Care

About the flavor: When we started collaborating with Colleen we knew that Indigenous foods were deeply important to her, and through those conversations we were inspired to use maple as the central flavor profile in her ice cream. This rich maple ice cream is full of freshly baked buttery sugar cookies, made with maple sugar.

About Colleen Echohawk and YouthCare: She is a born organizer, change-maker, and leader with over 20 years’ experience championing Seattle’s Native and at-risk populations. Her experiences as an Indigenous woman, small business owner, community organizer, and executive leader inform her efforts in building a community of justice and reconciliation. Early in her career she was fortunate to work with young people experiencing homelessness and believes that if we can stop homelessness in a young person, then we can decrease the heartbreak of chronic homelessness. She has chosen YouthCare as her beneficiary of this flavor because she sees the organization meeting the needs of young people by seeing them as whole people, ensuring that their cultural and basic needs are met. In her latest role as the CEO of Native lifestyle brand Eighth Generation, Colleen is using her connections and business acumen to take the small business global. Through an artist-centric approach and positive outlook, the brand is poised under Colleen’s leadership to share authentic, Native-designed art and home goods with an international audience eager for ethically made cultural products.
