In less than 5 years the cp program allowed me to grow and transition through all of the companies in-shop front of house roles (scooper, shift lead, assistant manager, and shop manager) before joining the HQ team as the HR Manager prior to being promoted to my current role!

  • What is your position at mm's?
As Marketing Director my job is to clearly express Molly Moon's values: to be smart, generous, homemade, joyful, and brave in everything we do! This including events, product innovation, partnerships, promotions, brand identity, and so much more. And at the core of it all is our delicious PNW ice cream! Ice cream sells itself, so my work centers around making sure everyone knows why you should feel good about buying from our little local company!
  • What did you do before mm's?
I've been using food as a conduit for cultivating conversations and relationships between all sorts of people for over a decade. Much of my marketing knowhow was formed during my time at Tom Douglas Restaurants where I learned about hospitality and all things food-related by some of the best in the biz!
  • Where are you from?
I was born in Southern California but raised predominantly in Issaquah, WA. At 18 I hightailed it out of the 'burbs and to the big city of Seattle where I've been ever since.
  • What are some of your hobbies?
Food is my hobby (so I'm lucky it's also my job!). I love reading cookbooks. I love researching ingredients. I love grocery shopping. I love taking on a time consuming food project, like making a ramen stock from scratch. I love it all! On occasion I take up a physical activity to counterbalance all of my time spent immersed in my hobby.
  • What is, or has been your favorite molly moon's product, ice cream or otherwise?
I couldn't stop eating our Black Forest Cake ice cream when it was released as a seasonal flavor! SO! GOOD!

Most recently I was a District Manager for a Seattle based sandwich shop but I have also worked in the grocery and food service distribution industries along with some BOH restaurant shenanigans back when I had a higher threshold for discomfort.
  • Where are you from?
I’m from a tiny hamlet of a town called San Geronimo (about an hour north of San Francisco) that people don’t even realize they’re driving through.
  • What are some of your hobbies?
Hobbies?! I am the lucky father of baby twin girls so my main hobby now is napping when (and if) the opportunity arises. Eventually I look forward to traveling, camping/backpacking, skiing, and cooking up a storm again. For the time being I’m thankful I can still find time to nerd out on baseball and wine.
  • What is, or has been your favorite molly moon's product, ice cream or otherwise?
There is a sneaky wholesale ice cream sandwich that may or may not exist that I’m obsessed with. The seasonal Sasquatch flavor is also alarmingly addictive.

Louisa Greenaway

Director of Hospitality Operations

What is your position at mm’s?

I am the Director of Hospitality Operations at molly moon's. My role involves overseeing all of our shops and hospitality teams, working directly with the shop managers who report to me. I focus on improving operations, tweaking processes, and most importantly, supporting and caring for our employees. I strive to create fun and empowering workplaces, granting my team significant autonomy to make decisions and innovate within their roles.

What did you do before mm’s?

I majored in evolutionary biology and ecology at university, a choice that fueled my global adventures as I volunteered on various environmental projects and worked in restaurants to fund my travels. My deep-seated passion for the natural world and environmental conservation continues to shape both my personal and professional life. After settling in Seattle, where I've lived for the past 11 years, I briefly explored opportunities in the tech industry. However, I soon realized that the sector did not resonate with my core values or satisfy my desire for hands-on, impactful work.

Seven years ago, I joined molly moon's as a small shop manager and quickly felt at home, thriving in an environment that valued community and sustainability. My career path at molly moon's has been dynamic and rewarding, evolving from managing individual shops to overseeing multiple units. Now, as the Director of Hospitality Operations—a role I stepped into in late 2022—I am able to weave my environmental ethics with my leadership duties. I strive to ensure that our operations not only delight our customers but also actively contribute to the health of our planet, embedding sustainable practices into every aspect of our business.

Where are you from?

Originally from Cornwall, UK, I've lived an international life residing in France, Hawaii, New Zealand, and Canada before settling in Seattle. This diverse background has enriched my approach to hospitality and operations, bringing a global perspective to local community engagement. Throughout my travels, I worked in various roles within restaurants and cafes around the world, both in the kitchen and in service. These experiences have deepened my understanding of the universal language of hospitality and underscored my passion for making people happy. My global culinary journey has uniquely positioned me to craft engaging, memorable experiences for our customers at molly moon's, celebrating the joy of simple pleasures like a scoop of ice cream.

What are some of your hobbies?

I have a passion for tennis, both playing and watching. The discipline and motivation required by the sport are immensely fulfilling. I also enjoy gardening and spending time in nature, whether it's on the water or just relaxing outdoors. Additionally, I love reading and have a deep appreciation for music, which I enjoy both playing and listening to.

What is, or has been your favorite molly moon's product, ice cream or otherwise?

My favorite aspect of molly moon's is our career pathway program. This initiative helps employees advance through the company, fostering personal and professional growth. Ice cream wise, I particularly enjoy May when we celebrate our birthday with special cake-flavored ice creams. Being British, I've always had a soft spot for cake, and these flavors bring a delightful taste of celebration and nostalgia. It’s a fun and tasty way to mark another year of growth and community at molly moon's.
